Twitch streamer Esfand baited into using a troll crosshair on CS:GO
Popular Twitch streamer Esfand was brilliantly baited into using a troll crosshair while playing Counter Strike: Global Offensive on December 1, leading to a hilarious clip from his stream.
Esfand is a longtime World of Warcraft streamer who exploded in popularity with the release of WoW Classic, and has quickly become a favorite in the community, known for his funny commentaries and skilled gameplay.
While primarily a player of WoW, he also dips his toes into IRL streaming and other games. On December 1, he was playing Valve’s incredibly popular FPS, when an unexpected moment of hilarity occurred.
Esfand was left baffled by the troll crosshair.[ad name=”article1″]
While playing alongside other streamers including Trainwrecks, Esfand was hilariously told to use a specific crosshair that has been ‘recommended by a number of CS:GO professional players’.
However, after selecting the aforementioned crosshair, he was greeted with a monumental green square in place of his crosshair, obscuring a large portion of the screen. “Wait, what?!” he laughed. “This is a crosshair most pros recommend? Are you serious? Dude, are you kidding me?”

It quickly dawned on Esfand that he was the victim of a playful troll, with a number of his audience spamming his chat to mock the confused streamer.
Not only was the streaming tricked into using the crosshair, he was stuck with the hilarious crosshair for the remainder of the round. The difficulty in viewing saw him turn a corner and get killed, at which point he simply put his head in his hands and laughed.

Credit to the 28-year-old, he shrugged the whole event off with his trademark humility and got back to playing Valve’s FPS.
Maybe he’ll take this as a warning for next time as to never trust his audience with advice.
