The LCS 2021 Championship has concluded after a year-long regular season. North America’s top League of Legends teams duked it out for the Summer title, with 100T coming out on top. Here’s how the action unfolded.

LCS’s playoffs have finally come to a close, and 100 Thieves have claimed the title of North America’s number one seed after a stellar sweep of Team Liquid.

This was a monumental moment for the organization, who claim their first championship since joining the LCS, a huge rebound from a disappointing 2020.

100T was dominant all season, finishing the regular season in second place with a record of 29-16, missing out on snagging first place from TSM by one win. But, this didn’t stop the Thieves, as led by Kim ‘Ssumday’ Chan-ho, the team cruised to a swift 3-0 of formidable adversaries Team Liquid.

In the days prior, 100 Thieves outlasted Evil Geniuses in an epic 3-2 battle, with the high-water mark of the clash coming in Game 4 as rookie of the year Kyle ‘Danny’ Sakamaki truly announced his arrival.

The next day, a resurgent Team Liquid bowled over TSM, 3-1, bundling the league first-seed into the lower bracket in a surprise upset.

EG was then eliminated just days later, at the hands of Cloud9. The defending champs rolled through Evil Geniuses — and their boy wonder Danny — in the lower bracket.

We now look ahead to Worlds 2021, where NA will be put their support on the three representatives to make their names on the international stage yet again.

LCS 2021 Championship: Playoffs Schedule & Results

The opening round of matches took place on August 7-13. Upper bracket matches ⁠— Cloud9 vs Team Liquid, vs Evil Geniuses ⁠— will open the Championship. 100 Thieves and TSM start in the second-round upper bracket slots.

The finals weekend was held on August 28-29. The two do-or-die series will also be played at the Los Angeles studio after Riot pivoted plans.
