Artist turns Grammy star Billie Eilish & more into Pokemon Elite Four

On the heels of the 2020 Grammy Awards, an artist has taken four of the performers from the red carpet, along with their wild outfits, and turned them into a group of Pokémon trainers known as the “Grammy League Elite Four.”

Ray Comifuro (@refrainbow), the artist who brought the awesome ideas to life, shared them on Twitter on January 29 and it didn’t take long for the concepts to amass over 50,000 retweets.

The stars wouldn’t look at all out of place in the world of Sword & Shield so it’s not hard to see why the designs caught on, and the fantastic Pokémon companions chosen by Ray only make it that much better.

Alolan Muk and Billie Eilish make a great poisonous pair.

First on the list was pop superstar Billie Eilish whose Gucci threads definitely resemble something a Poison-type trainer would rock.

Her brightly colored Alolan Muk comrade would make Eilish a formidable foe and a worthy addition to the Grammy team. For some reason, we also feel like she would keep Ekans in her squad as well.

Lil Nas X could be placed directly into a Pokémon game and no one would bat an eye.

Rapper Lil Nas X stunned the Grammys with his hot pink Versace cowboy getup, that, besides looking like a wild Red Dead Redemption 2 mod, also perfectly fits a fairy Pokémon trainer.

He comes with the ferocious-looking Fairy type Granbull at his side, who also serves as a perfect accessory to Lil Nas X’s legendary look.

Ariana Grande’s massive dress makes her look like a ghost Pokémon herself.

In her massive Giambattista Valli getup, pop star Ariana Grande looks every bit like a master of Ghost-type Pokémon.

The shadowy Dusknoir lurking behind Grande provides appropriate levels of intimidation and would make her a tough matchup as the third member of the Grammy Elite Four.

If this outfit doesn’t say “Ice-type Pokémon”, nothing does.

Finally, Broadway performer Billy Porter’s rhinestoned outfit is undoubtedly worthy of an Ice-type trainer, and an animation where he closes the blinds on his hat would be needed in Sword & Shield after you defeat him.

Eevee’s Ice evolution Glaceon serves as Porter’s faithful companion, and the flaps around its head even resemble its trainer’s motorized headwear.

Ray’s Grammy Elite Four concept definitely deserves all the attention it’s gotten, with over 50,000 retweets and 150,000 likes at the time of writing, and it will be interesting to see what the artist comes up with next.
