Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has won numerous awards during her years-long stint at the top of Twitch. However, she doesn’t want the recognition anymore, urging fans to stop voting for her at award shows after nominations in The Streamer Awards show hosted by QTCinderella. As far as awards go for streamers, Pokimane has nearly won — or at least been nominated — for them all. However, the Twitch star doesn’t want the ‘formal’ recognition anymore.

Netflix’s Squid Game has captured the imaginations of viewers all over the world, but if those video game rumors are true it may just conquer the gaming universe as well.  Steeped in mystery and shattering expectations, Korean survival drama Squid Game has become one of 2021’s most talked about Netflix shows. Team Envy has announced that retired CoD pro and CDL analyst Tyler ‘TeeP’ Polchow has joined the esports org as a Warzone content creator and streamer. As a pro player, TeeP enjoyed one of the longest, most consistently successful careers in top-level professional CoD. A Call of Duty World Champion with 18 Major wins to his name, he’s also known for forming half of the longest-running duo in the history of the game’s pro scene with Patrick “Aches” Price.

Apex Legends Season 6: Boosted comes with a Battle Pass filled with new weapon and Legend skins, charms, skydive emotes, holo-sprays, and plenty more for players to unlock. It’s once again time for Apex Legends players to dive into a new Battle Pass for Season 6, and after weeks of anticipation and rumors, we finally know what all the rewards available will be. Holo-sprays are a new cosmetic added for the latest season, but they’re just the tip of the iceberg for what’s all included.

After officially partnering with Activision, Twitch Warzone superstar, FaZe Clan’s NICKMERCS, came back with a $100,000 MFAM Gauntlet  tournament featuring some of the biggest names in Call of Duty. On July 8, it was announced that Activision and NICKMERCS would be partnering to up the ante for the streamer’s MFAM Gauntlet, and that the prize pool would be pushed to $100k with a format extended to four weeks.  Each week involves a $2,500 Qualifier round and a $20,000 Main Event, featuring teams of streamers that compete in bracket play with points awarded for kills and placements.

Some Apex Legends players on PlayStation have been plagued by the CE-34878-0 PS4 Error Code. Though, there is an easy way to rebuild the system’s database in order to fix it. New Horizons brought fans of the game series into the Modern Age, with fantastic graphics and deeper game systems. There are plenty of ways to make money in the game through buying and selling turnips, as well as breeding flowers and rare plants to create vibrant color variations.

The new Season One Battle Pass is now available in Modern Warfare and it includes a flurry of new content such as two new weapons, cosmetic items, CoD points, XP boosts, and more. A fully-fledged Battle Pass has been added in a Call of Duty game for the first time, introduced in Modern Warfare as part of the massive Season One update on December 3. Featuring over 100 Tiers, the Battle Pass gives players a whole other way to earn and unlock a lot of new content, in addition to everything else that was released with Season One.

In MrBeast’s latest crazy challenge video, one participant managed to win over $300,000 – and even ended the proceedings with an emotional surprise when he proposed to his girlfriend. Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson is a YouTuber who’s well known for going the extra mile when it comes to setting up wild challenges, conscripting both friends and fans to compete against each other to win  astonishing amounts of money. In a video uploaded in April, Jimmy challenged one man named Josh to try and stay in one room for as long as he possibly could, with the promise of $10,000 for every day he managed to stay in there.

It’s not uncommon for gaming companies to want to see their star mascots and characters duke it out in Super Smash Bros, but now PETA is demanding Nintendo add their strange “Not a Nugget” chicken to the game as DLC. PETA, for all its controversy, has an interesting history at poking fun at Nintendo games for their own purposes and have from time to time ventured into the gaming space in its crusade of saving tasty animals from the mouths of hungry humans.
