Riot cancels sold-out LCS Championship event due to growing health concerns

Riot Games have cancelled the LCS Championships at the Prudential Center amid growing health concerns. The sold-out event meant to reunite LCS teams with fans will now be relocated to California without crowds in attendance. The LCS Championship will now be played out in Los Angeles, California at the LCS Arena. Riot are working to provide full refunds to those who purchased tickets to the Prudential Center event. The LCS production was set to go on the road on August 28-29 in Newark, NJ for the semi-finals and Grand Finals, Riot revealed on July 9.

Weird Valorant bug lets Viper wallhack using her ultimate

A Valorant bug has been found that lets Viper’s ultimate ability become even deadlier since it gives her a peak through the fog to find anyone looming inside of it. The poisonous plume from Viper’s ultimate ability, simply called ‘Viper’s Pit,’ shrouds a large area in a green dome. Any other player who steps into the pit gets obscured vision while reducing their maximum health. Only one trade off with the ultimate is that her vision is also hindered by her gaseous ability.

The creator of Netflix’s I Am Not Okay With This has blamed rising costs and the ongoing global health crisis for the cancelation of Season 2. When it premiered on the streaming service in February 2020, the coming-of-age drama won over viewers with relatable characters and a big mystery surrounding protagonist Sydney’s emerging telekinetic superpowers. The first season ended with Sydney exploding a bully’s head after he threatened to ‘out’ her to the whole school.

Cloud9 unveil unexpected partnership with The Smurfs

North American esports organization Cloud9 have shocked fans with the unveiling of a collaboration with pop culture franchise The Smurfs. Cloud9 have made partnerships with major brands over the years, establishing deals with the likes of BMW, AT&T, PUMA, Red Bull, and Microsoft. However, their latest collaboration is a little on the unexpected side: they’ve worked with IMPS, the license holders of The Smurfs brand, to launch their own co-branded merchandise line.

The convention sees streamers from all around the world coming together to celebrate their platform. However, many attendees go to the after-parties once the day is over, and when Korean streamer Yunicorn19 was broadcasting around the city, she had her stream sniped by two men, but was saved from the uncomfortable situation by a popular Twitch personality.

YouTuber who got over 500 copyright strikes tells Nintendo to release soundtracks

YouTuber DeoxysPrime is calling for Nintendo to release official soundtracks for its games after the company issued over 500 copyright strikes to his channel, forcing him to remove all Nintendo-related videos.  Throughout the years, copyright strikes have taken over Twitch and YouTube, forcing many people to remove hundreds of videos. Back in January, Toei Animation issued over 150 copyright strikes to Totally Not Mark, who uploads reactions to a wide variety of Toei-created anime.

Valkyrae admits Ludwig leaked DMs slip up caused RFLCT collapse

Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has admitted that Atrioc leaking Ludwig’s DM’s on stream is what caused the collapse of her skincare line, RFLCT.  On October 19, Valkyrae revealed her new skincare line that was aimed at protecting content creators, PC gamers, and other heavy screen users from blue-light emission damaging their skin. However, the creator was immediately met with backlash after the RFLCT website lacked sufficient evidence that the product worked.
